@Greyshark09 You stopped using slavery? LOL... Jews traded abundantly in slaves during the Ottoman rule in eastern Europe and later also during the transatlantic slave trade. You're obviously in horrible denial if you think that "progressive" Jews abolished slave trade before anyone else. Remember, Jews were just a hardcore sect who fought to their own destruction over a temple site, while Hellenism enlightened the world with philosophy, art, math and much more. So much for your "progress"...

Don't invent stupid stuff - jews built Temples for themselves, only Levite priests are available to build Temple, not foreign slaves. You know nothing about my culture apparently, we stopped using slavery after Persian emancipation. Only Hellinised Jews used slaves in Roman era.

@Greyshark09 So what? Jews exploited non-Jews and they used slaves to build their Jewish temples. Other peoples fared far worse than the Jews at the hands of the Romans, for instance the Carthaginians. Bottom line, don't rebel unless you're ready to live the consequences of your rebellion. The Roman empire was in that regard no better and no worse than anyone else of that time, apart from the fact that the Romans at least offered you a chance to become a Roman citizen despite being a foreigner.

nice
Roman Colosseum: Built using primitive technology over 2000 years ago and still standing for the most part. Minneapolis Metrodome: Built in 1979 using modern materials and its already falling apart. Just goes to show we can't build anything like in the old days.

it is an awe inspiring monument to the Empire. It also illustrates its populace's love for entertainment the bloodier the better. It was a tool of statecraft. Emperors used it to stage games to entertain and pacify the masses. Who knows how many tens of thousands of people lost their lives in it? How many animals were killed?
