Ms. Wasilla technically didn't violate the law in firing the commissioner. That's the governor's perogative. Therefore she can't face jail time or fines.
HOWEVER, her attempt to influence the commissioner to fire the ex-brother-in-law, and her use of aides and family members to intimidate him, violated the state's code of ethics.
For that she could be, and should be, impeached.

Palin and McCain are so busy trying to smear Obama that they forgot to cover their own tracks. When you run a dirty, angry, bitter campaign the way Palin & McCain have been doing, you better do it with clean hands. There is far too much in their history to go after others. Palin and McCain are done.
