@anti1china jin tae was not forced...his fiancee was shot to death.. he thought jin-seok is killed in the fire!!! jin seok and jin tae were accused as communist by the anti-communist movement...the girl joined commies just for food...he seeks revenge..BTW,he recognizes his brother at the last and fires back to N.Korean but jin tae is killed

this movie totally shows the human side in war, instead of talking about winning the war, or this side is better than the other, etc. n they're talking about brotherhood love, which is absolutely nice. all credits to the production team, n casts ofc.

People will change in powerlessness.

@bigfatdick5000 Don't worry, bro, I didn't forget ;)
I think the same as you, we just have to go on thinking that way :P

the tug of war between communism and capitalism, communism deteriorated in its form in da long run, but I just wanted to remind you that capitalism isn't all good either. otherwise wouldn't have thousands of people protesting outside of wall street recently for the failed global capitalist financial system. one *global* economic crisis after another in recent years since 2008, capitalism is flawed as well. The poorer world remains *dependent* on the rich, exponentially ripped off

@bigfatdick5000 People suffer...because of communism. That's why I hate commies, I don't care what it was meant to be, I only see what it is NOW.

communism was good and pure in its early days, it saved the proletariat from being exploited by the capitalist bourgooursie in the early 20th century. the poor masses had hope of freed from oppression. landlord, capitalist rich bosses, exploited labors like slaves in the 19,20th century, for a brief moment communism did change and offered common people hope. except in later decades it started deteriorating due to corruption at the top tier. so people suffered again.
nah, he just love his brother the same way, that's why he always stop him in all the dangerous missions and that is why he thinks that the medals are nothing if you are dead.

One of the best war movies ever, it shows how war can truly dehumanize the nicest and kindest of people(jin tae) into brutal killers.
