An Appeal for Moral Support. Things have calmed down considerably in Japan compared to a couple of days ago. What the folks here need now is your moral support.

  • Is there anything else that we can do than give money and conserve? I'm in 西Tokyo and I took a couple of weeks off because I had no idea what the heck was going on... Watching this kinda gave me some motivation to do something else.. Ahh... So much to think about but I agree with you that things are getting better.

  • @DrJoshMc Right now, the best things you can do to help is CONSERVE. If you contact your local city hall, I am pretty sure they've started a "collection point" for warm clothes, blankets, and newly bought, fresh underwear and socks. But contact them BEFORE you bring a load of stuff in. Each city around Japan seems to be asking for different relief supplies. Many cities have "sister-city" relationships with northern towns, so they try to respond to the specific needs of each affected area.

  • Daniel -

You did not over-react. Your anger was not the least bit misplaced. News operations letting inappropriate information go to air is inexcusable. The sad thing is that it takes viewers, readers, and listeners to point out failures in journalistic ethics to "j-school pros".

I just caught an interview you gave to NHK Newsline, and wanted to thank you for your good work, and for giving of yourself to the extent that you have. You're a good man and a good example to all of us.

  • OMG! Daniel-san is speaking English, instead of Yamagata language! (just kidding... sorry)

Anyway, it's good message. Thanks Daniel-san, and thanks people who support Japan!

  • @happyisland111 ありがとう あなたの本気に感謝します 本当にありがとう

  • Amid many insensible and irresponsible foreign and even Japanese reporters, Daniel Kahl is one of the few sensible figures we should value. His comments appeal to me. Never should we get misled by deceptive reports. I fully realize how much he loves Japan; his dedication to the country is second to none. That is quite obvious to every one in Japan, including me. Now let us join his chorus against the escalating hysteria. Thanks for your brave action. I fully support you, Mr. Kahl.

  • PRAYERS TO JAPAN!

GOD bless the wonderful Japanese people!

  • ダニエルさん

    本当にありがとう。心から感謝します。

    英語が上手くて驚きました。

  • Great message. I fully agree with you - thanks for these postings.

  • Daniel-san, I appreciate your efforts and support.

  • Thanks. But they do not apologize. It is not necessary to apologize. Those foreign media does not report about the facts. They sides the market fundamentalists who needs flattened land for development. Those vultures who feels happy when everybody else suffers has to be blamed. Thanks again, Mr. Kahl. Let us be relaxed.

Japan will prevail. At least there is no lootings. As you said kids are playihg around in the parks.

  • Dear H4ruOnna4 please stop & do not thank on behalf of ALL the foreigners & Japanese I am a foreigner & know many who were irritated by Daniels comments. But we are all allowed an opinion. But we can never speak for all the people.
