Rainbow Reel: Howling III: Marsupials

Joe Dante's The Howling is one of the best werewolf movies out there...and I sure wish I was reviewing that film instead of this Australian based travesty.

I saw this on the Sci-Fi Channel, people who say they didn't crap back then, they lied. They can say they aired MST3k all they want but I don't care. They aired this movie and even then, it's still a bad film in general. Why would they make this film other than money? It does not make any sense, it's not even funny. The ballerina scene, okay that was cool but there's nothing in that movie that's actually good.

It's just horrible.

@Movie06 Such a shame that Australia has so little to contribute to the realm of Horror and this atrocity is probably one of our most famous. I wouldn't say the ballerina scene entertains me because its 'good' Quite the opposite in fact.

That's funny you mention The Howling III novel. I read it when I was a kid, and I remember skipping the film after finding out that it had nothing to do with the plot of the novel, which was sort of: a dark version of Teen Wolf, if you will. 15+ years later, here I am watching your video and thinking, "Good call on skipping Howling III."

@thebrb30000 Yeah you made the right call. I read the novel for this review but it turned out that was pointless. I just don't understand how at the start it says 'Based on the novel'. I mean...what the hell?

@FistFullOfMovies Cinematic trash may be somewhat of understatement here. Seriously I didn't go into it that much but christ this movie is sickening with its fur love. That birth scene is so bad...and the sounds, oh the squishing sounds. I would rather watch that birth scene in the Fly than this!

I saw this movie bak in the 4th grade.. Aahh the memories... Dang, never realised how bad it was lolz da lead actress is hot though and still gotta love the ballerina scene lolz! Sweet review budz!
