Gaming on a Portable DVD Player

Playing a game console on a Sony DVP-FX825 Portable DVD Player.

Now I just need to get a power inverter in the car so I can play while on the road.

HOW TO:

First of all you need a portable dvd player that has some kind of A/V input.

Now, the first thing you see in the video is an RCA Coupler, that's used because the cable that goes into the portable dvd player had male rca plugs, so it needed to connect with the other cable somehow.

The cable that goes from the coupler and into the player came with the player, it takes rca audio and video (red white and yellow) and puts it out as one male composite video and one male stereo audio.

My old player had an A/V input so it was just the one A/V plug instead of it being separate video and audio plugs like it is here. Either way, same thing.

Last thing you need to do is change the source of the player. On my player I just had to move a switch next to the inputs that would switch it from output to input. Also, make sure the switch on the Xbox 360 cable is set to TV, not HDTV, the player does 480p, not 720p.

Oh man. I came really close to getting this to work, but I can't find any way to change my portable from "Video Out" to "Video In". Any suggestions?

it could just be that it doesn't support video input unfortunately. read the manual to be sure though.
