Everyone knows Allied planes were shot down. My great-uncle was shot down over France. Now I'm not saying German pilots were horrible, because they obiviously we're higly effective. But the allies were alot more effective.

Realy, history is going to have bias from whomever is telling it. America, Germany, Brittain, Russia, Japan, everyone is going to bad talk their enemy and emphasize how good their own cause was. Yes, the #1 ace of WW2 was a German pilot named Erich Hartmann, although a lot of his victories came from downing poorly trained pilots or non-dogfight style aircraft.

Oh, brother... It's a wartime propaganda film. Of course it's going to show the best view of whatever side makes the film. Of course German planes shot down a lot of Allied planes. The Germans were very good in all aspects. I don't think anyone who was fighting against them would have said any differently.

More effective? More like haveing a bazillion planes to replace shot down ones =P Being able to usually recover pilots (battle for britain). And they never speak of how the ME262 munched up Flying fortresses in 45 ^^

yep, these images will never be shown on history chanell dogfights. i'm not american, russian, japanese nor german but on my opinion luftwaffe was the best airforce in WW II. the highest scoring aces where german. by the time allies entered the war in europe, most of highly experienced fighter pilots were killed & americans were mostly fighting against poorly trained novice pilots. death looks beautiful in the first attack on B24 although i feel sorry for those pilots. rest in peace!

KamakazeeFatty is a zealot and his kind of thinking brought misery and death to the German people.I fought in the war and the soldiers on both sides fought like tigers. I saw no 14 year olds but 19 and 20 year olds that the German leaders brought to their deaths. Whose soldiers were better depended the unit you came across and their training. Lucky to come out the other side no matter how good you were.

The allies were not more effective. The German military was worn out and tired from fighting the Soviets, and you do realize the Germans put KIDS into these aircraft, and also in tanks and in infantry units, and they consisted of at least 13% of the military force.

You guys were getting murdered by fucking 14 year old's and 70 year old's.
