the sailing terms arnt silly. They evolved so that precise communication could exist between skipper and crew. once learnt everyone knows what to do and when to do it. ....the fact people can qualify as a sailing skipper and never experienced adverse weather is to me astounding. Arrghh??? got that one of me hairy chest ya middle class apairent luandlubbers and gadget geeks.
