Battlefield 3 Sniper School- SV98 Gameplay Rush Tehran Highway-Tips and Tricks

In this latest installment of BF3 Sniper School, I bring you my very first game using the SV98 Sniper rifle, which is the first BOLT ACTION rifle available to the recon class. Instead of cherry picking my best game with this rifle, I decided to simply show you the first game using it. Not my all time best, but far from my worst, I was pretty satisfied with the game.

In the video, we will discuss a number of different theories about how to play the recon class, including what you should be doing as a recon besides simply sniping, how to position yourself on the map depending on the game mode to plan for success, as well as a question for you snipers out there on the point of Quickscoping/Hardscoping and which is the best way to use either method.

Nice Video man. You kinda put out some false information Recon is a broad picture in recon you have sniper,urban sniper, counter sniper, reconnaissance, and all other type of stealthy stuff. Im a marine corp sniper and we are called recon. But once again nice video =)

@KillaCominAtCha Thanks man.. I hear what you mean about Recon not being only a sniper, but being.. well.. Recon lol.

Ive got some videos coming up showing the Recon class not using the rifles at all, because I think its the most underutilized class in the game, because to most people its either a bolt action rifle or bust.

Just been a little hectic these past few days, but there should be a new video up later today.

you should always hardscope on BF3, because firstly its only ever a one shot headshot kill when the enemy is on full health and dice has put measures in to stop quickscoping like this to make it hard, however in co series i quickscope because, map sizes, amount of people and pace of play as its muchmore visable :)

Quick scoping is shooting at the instant the scope comes, up, so that you can still have the accuracy of a full scope, but still have the field of view of unscoped.

Shooting before you scope in is a no scope. Hardscoping is staying zoomed in then shooting, this is what you should do most of the time, but you will begin to act on instinct, after a while, you will noscope, drag scope hard scope and quick scope when appropriate. @Melee2Kil Ok good, I did think I knew what each term meant, just wanted to be sure.

I imagine most shots are a middle ground between a true quickscope and a true hardscope.. not neccessarily staying fully scoped in before taking the shot, but not shooting the exact time the scope comes up either.

I only quickscope at very short range if i get surprised and then switch to the 44. Magnum to finish the guy off if i didnt kill him. Hardscoping and medium - long range is what you should be doing

Did anyone else notice that he was using a ballistic scope which u need to unlock by getting kills with the gun 0.o

in real war a sniper does not run in to die a sniper sits far away from the battle reports on what is going on to his commander

i like sniping alot better in bf3 then in mw3 cuz less trick shots

i hard scope all the time, i cant hit shit otherwise

What u do on offense is get near the objective and pick off the defenders
