you by the heart & take you on a passionate journey.Coming from a musically talented family, Heidi-Jo has always loved music. As she grew older she was inspired by her parents and also bands like Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac and Bad Company. She picked up her first guitar at 16 and the lyrical creations came shortly thereafter... In 1994 Heidi-Jo & Kellie Girouard founded "Moonstruck" a very well known female acoustic duo that performed locally in the central Masachusetts circuit & throughout New England. Later in 1997
Kellie & Heidi-Jo joined forces with "Captain" Chris Coombs, an outstanding and extremely tasteful lead guitarist, giving the group the magic that has attracted many audiences from all around for many years.
Through the years Heidi-Jo has worked with
many talents including Grammy nomination candidate
Shawna Carol, and Pam Gerke & The Sacred Fire Choir at the 2003 Goddess Conference in Glastonbury England and in February of 2004 at the Women of Wisdom Conference in Seattle Washington. In August 2005 & in May of 2006, Heidi-Jo was honored to open the stage for the very, well known singer-songwriter Jonathan Edwards !!! In November of 2002, Heidi-Jo began recording at Upside Sound Studio in Ashburnham Massachusetts with recording/sound engineer, John Little.With great anticipation, "I'm Still Me" was released in the fall of 2003. Her music has hit over 90 radio stations across the US including 93.9 The River-North Hampton, MA & 91.9 WUMB-Boston, MA "Women in Music" with Laney Goodman. Heidi-Jo is currently working on her second CD.Not only does Heidi-Jo put her all into performing solo and with Moonstruck, she is her own manager and booking agent, most importantly, she is a wonderful mother of two. Busy Mamajo, in between bus schedules, girl scouts, booking gigs and performing, Heidi-Jo supports Many other Musicians from all over the US by hosting and coordinating an outstanding "singer songwriter showcase" every Thursday evening at McNally's Grille & Pub located in Westminster Massachusetts, giving singer-songwriters a place to be heard and an opportunity to shine & receive wider recognition. She coordinates big concerts, festivals, donates her time and energy to endless fund raisers and benefits and enjoys every minute of it!
It's all a delicate balance...
