We built this motorcycle for a bike shop owner that loves bikes and collects old John Deere tractors, so he had us combine his two passions into one.
He didn't just want a green chopper, he wanted a bike with as many authentic parts as possible without getting downright silly, so we decided that since he loved tractors of 40s and 50s vintage, a panhead Harley motor would be appropriate. But not just any panhead, an "Outlaw Panhead" from Accurate Engineering in Dothan, Alabama. We got the parts powdercoated and sent out to them, next we got the wheels custom cut at R.C Components, and sent those out to be powdercoated also. We got our frame together and went out to some old farm machinery junkyards to scavenge any cool old parts we could find.
We made or modified the one-off stuff like exhaust, LED taglight, (that looks like the farm machinery triangle), shifter linkage, shift lever, seat frame with modern rock-shox shock absorber(yes, the seat itself is an actual tractor seat), some old tractor foot pedals perform the foot control duties, and to note: anything you see on this bike that says JOHN DEERE, is authentic stuff from the local tractor supply and John Deere retailer, including decals, fuel sediment filter, oil pressure gauge, and start switch! All are date correct for late 40s-early 50s vintage.
Let us know if you would like a great machine built just for you, we love this stuff!
How much would one of these cost?

Don't worry Paul, we weren't original in this concept either. I have seen bikes for years with this idea, we just took it to a higher level with details because we were fortunate to have a great customer that wanted to go the extra mile.
Thanks for your comment!
