I saw this too on msn video and i think i know the trick!
What they did , they made 2 firework candles on a firework rocket and launched the fire candle first that trigger the firework rocket.
I know this sounds rlly stupid but thats what i saw on the whole video.

20 feet. 30 feet. Hard to tell. It was big. 50 feet. It did not seem to get bigger in size as time went by.
