The Science Museum of Western VA held its 2nd Annual Bouncy Ball New Year Ball Drop on December 31, 2009 to "bounce in" 2010 by dropping 11,000 bouncy balls from the Atrium at the Center of the Square Building in Downtown Roanoke, VA. The Ball Drop occurs at High Noon on New Years' Eve and is hosted by the Science Museum. This is a spectacular family event that cannot be missed!!

  • LOL@MamaTaney, It was all for fun for heavens sake!! They were SMALL kids and there has never been a kid who didn't want all he could get. Besides I'm sure the custodial staff was hoping that all 11,000 balls left the building with the kids. Lighten up and enjoy life, it won't last forever!!

  • My daughter and I were there at the very top. We had a blast. I got glimpse of us. lol Afterward they opened the museam for the kids and we continued to have a blast.

    Fun was had by one and all.
