Gilles was 2nd in that dog of a car? The 312T5 was probably the worst F1 Ferrari ever and they ended the constructors' championship in 11'th place in 1980. Gilles could get podiums in a bad car. He was special.

Mainly suspension failure but also serious steering problems as Gilles felt no steering movement whatsoever.
So yes, Gilles still doing OK with the T5 in 1980 was quite a feat. He often used in typical French-Canadian language the term 'Shit car'.
Both Gilles and Jody got so irrate they communicated directly to Enzo, pointing the incompetence of the team's directors and concept staff.

I have most of the 1980 races on DVD. Hopefully i'll get round to uploading some more sometime.
