  • Unlike Mr. Putin, I am not optimistic about the abilities of the United Nations to be independent and reasonable -- and to ACT ACCORDINGLY. On the contrary, I see the United Nations as a total (and, actually, clumsy and pathetic) tool of fraudulent unilateralism. Mr. Putin also mentions international law, and at this point (3 years after this speech) international law and domestic law are in total shambles -- we seem to systematically "legalize" crimes. I wish his optimism were contagious.
