  • Simon what do you do with your water after throwing or making handles. Looked like a lot of slurry in the bottom of that jug you showed. How do you keep it out of the sink pipes? Keep making your videos!

  • He's barbaric with that knife!! HAHA awesome

  • Love to recycle! I teach ceramics here in Ohio & when working with children I used to use small plastic cups to hold their glazes in since they could be slightly pressed on the sides for easy pour back into the original glaze jars. Found the kids usually cracked them from an over amount of pressure. Then glaze wasted down the drain. Then I thought about the handled cup measurers that comes in dry laundry detergent. They have a pour spout & handle. They work great! Love your video's Simon! Thanks

  • A joy of pottery - how much recycling you can do with it. Stores (bakery, grocery, etc.) throw out 1-5 gallon buckets they get for pickles, cake icing, etc. Use these for dry materials, glazes, water from the humidifier to use later, cut off bottom and make sieve... Throw away construction materials - cement board for tiling makes a great work surface; tar paper makes bats, wood - list is endless. Takeout chopstick - pulling tool for tiny pots. 500 words not enough...

  • Unless it is a broken pot :)

    Break More Pots!!

  • Bravo! Yes it is a throw away world.

  • Personally, I try to buy PET plastic bottles that we can drop off at any grocery store to be recycled.

When it comes to things that aren't broken, but we want a new one and can afford it... we usually give them away to people that can use them or sell them on to someone else and make a buck or two that they can use much better than us.

Do you ever throw adding clay onto existing pieces, or is that just for really big pieces?
