  • If you go when it's not 1,000 degrees outside then that trail would have been a good hike to the lost cabin. Area fitty one is to left a little more. Wildlife is further up in the mountains but is scarce. Several old corrals and watering tanks at the end of those cow rd. Mormon Well is an o.k. place to check out too.

  • @XJFiles Yep it was super hot that day, plus my a/c wasn't working at the time woo hoo! I didn't know the road stopped that short of the canyon, thought I could wheel up at least a little ways NOPE! Would like to do the whole road to Alamo someday........

    Nice XJ btw!

  • Hrmm, no wildlife on a wildlife refuge... odd. Must have all been partying at Lake Havasu for the 3 day weekend.

  • @Raptorgrizz Ahh! Now I know why I saw that herd of bighorn sheep running across Las Vegas Blvd headed south!

  • Man this looks like no mans land....Cool

  • @davidsquall351 Yeah "sublime desolation" for sure!

  • @eugenethejeep72 It's too bad they blocked it making it a pretty fair hike in to see the cabin. There's quite a bit of road out that way going to Alamo and should be interesting also.

Thanks for the compliment. The rig has taken many places.
