Here I try to play the song with the "Music Box" option. Well it sounds a little like a music box to me, but it was actually called "vibra-phone" or something like that. And this was just for fun. And I just left the mistakes in there. I'm no where near perfect but just enjoyed playing this song. This is a video I made for some very special friends of mine. (but anyone can watch.) :0) I learned this song without looking at any notes. (I don't even remember how to read all of the music notes to be honest.) So I learned this all myself. This is me playing the theme song to the movie "The Boy Who Could Fly", one of my favorite movies as a teenager. Ever since I was a teen I've had such a big desire to learn the song on keyboard (and piano). But back when I was a teenager, (in the mid 1980s) I tried learning it, but it never came to me. Until over 20 years later. I first learned to play it with just one hand. And I couldn't play it at all without the original music playing along in the background. To my surprise, I can now play the whole song without needing the original music playing, and even more to my surprise, the left hand part of the song came to me recently. I totally didn't expect this to happen. (I tried the left hand earlier but it wasn't working so I gave up and decided I would just go with the one hand..but then I got the surprise and the left hand came to me after all!!!) Also learning the song in this way, (without going by reading any notes at all,) to just learn it by myself like this is a huge huge accomplishment in my life. I did take some lessons when I was a child, but I never really caught on. Also until recently I hadn't even TOUCHED a piano or keyboard in over 20 years! So having this happen to me, to be able to play this song, even with mistakes and it's not perfect, and I know others can play it much better than this, still this is something big that has happened in my life! For me, to come this far...I can only give all my thanks to the Lord for letting me learn this song! Remember, I know it's not perfect, it's not professional sounding, but for me to be able to come up with this...this ability to do this is something I hold dear to my heart. I'm happy I can share it with anyone who wants to listen.
@LorenSharice Thanks! I really appreciate that. I'm surely not a professional that's for sure. LOL! I did take piano lessons when I was real little but never really caught on. Now 20 + years have passed since I even touched a piano or keyboard so this was a bit of a challenge to learn all on my own with no notes to go by. I don't even remember how to read all of the piano notes it's been so long. #LOL Thanks again for watching!
