Gulp..pff brings a lump in my throat seeing "home"...I'm amazed looking at Water Street +Castle Street..wow the lack of traffic is amazing! The thing about Liverpool is that in the last 10 years or so the amount of cars on the roads became ridiculous,far too much.

I live in Brighton+bizarrely the roads here look empty like 70'sLiverpool! Everyone walks+public transport is very good..thank you,my heart really does lie in Liverpool,always will..Sophie

I was 11 back in 1972 but i can remember like it was yesterday.It was safe back then for a kid to travel from wallasey to Anfield and watch the game,not like now.

I wish i'd been able to visit Liverpool when it still looked like this! So much character. You sense a pride in the appearance of things - people's dress, the cars, the buildings. It seems very English - not at all the feeling you get there now.
