You handled that ridiculous comment well. I weaned my Fidertanz colt at 4 1/2 months, because he was too rough with my mare. I wish I could have waited to 6 months. You do what's best for the mare. By the way, my colt's leg markings are almost the same as your filly's, except, he has that trademark triangle of black in the right front sock. Search for Frisco Bay to find video of him.

is there any reason why the mare is not with this filly? Makes me wonder if there is anything to hide? I think it is a pretty stupid idea to show such a young filly without it's mother. Wait or do it with the mother. this is just unnecessary stress for the young horse. Nevertheless a beautiful filly.

Thank you for your comment. The filly at the time was 7, almost 8 months. And in the world of breeding people wean at around 6 months. Some even before.
I own the mare, and there is nothing to "hide" ?
