Have you ever wondered how the internet keeps on working across national borders and a multitude of cultures and purposes?

As the internet becomes more of a comfort, its stability is of paramount importance. But also people's rights, associated rules and interactions become increasingly complex.
Somehow, this complexity has to be managed by a lot of disconnected parties: Private companies, research institutions, governments and the internet users.

The internet means a lot of different things to a lot of different people and organisations. The Internet Governance Forum is the place where all these stakeholders can meet and talk.

EURid is a committed participant in this dialogue, with an interest in representing the .eu community within the European internet space.

From 14 till 17 September 2010, Vilnius hosted the 5th IGF, and we had the chance to chat with some of the key participants in the discussions. First question: What is the IGF?
