I kind of wish I could have this..

@JellyBellyDeli or everybody on the video about the condition. What a coincidence.

@rawwtheman I assigned a number to a note, and in a matter of minutes I was able to remember them with great accuracy. How is spending my off day of work researching a topic I'm interested in "too much time". Stop trying to look cool on youtube, grow up, and contribute something of value to this discussion, like real adults do.
Oh yeah, check out my instrumentals on my channel page too. Feel free to hate on my exceptional musical knowledge.

I disagree profoundly that this is a rare condition. It is simply a matter of extent and mode. There are so many associations and possible types of synesthesia. Hearing--> Vision, Vision-->Hearing, Smell--> Shape etc. etc. etc. In my opinion, whatever areas you have synesthesia gives you a little bonus in whatever discipline you can harness it. For me, it's smell--> Shape and Color. I work in the fragrance industry.
Follow your crossed wires, and find out what you are meant for.

@Q2IN2Y Is this Synesthesia? I'll listen to a note and say "That's 22" or " That's 55". I haven't developed a system yet but so far C is 22 D is 33 E is 44. All the regular notes are double digit numbers and the flats and sharps are 10 20, 30, 40, etc. Also, when I assign colors to letters and I process them as colors instead of the symbols, I can feel my temporal lobes on both sides turn on or something. It feels like it's been activated or something, it's weird. is this Synthesia?

I don't know if I have it but I did a test to see. I've always been the artistic type and I'm left handed. So basically I assigned certain numbers to notes on the piano, and I have this program that can test your pitch recognition. When I ran the test just listening to the notes as audible sounds, I had a hard time rmembering the notes. So I assigned numbers to the notes, and started to process the sounds as numbers, I could remember them.
