CNNSI recap of the 1999 Eastern Conference Quaterfinal winning goal by Sergei Berezin. With the Leafs leading the series 3-2, and game 6 in Philly tied at 0-0, Berezin scores the game winner with less than a minute to go in the game on a power play from Mats Sundin and Bryan Berard. This goal resulted in the first Leaf playoff series win since 1999 and sent them to the ECSF against the Penguins. Cujo is clutch as he gets the shutout.
Poor quality but no other clips of this game on Youtube.

  • Actually in that game the Flyers had like 5 or 6 straight power plays and could not score, so it's their fault and not the refs.

    Go Leafs Go.

  • Nice.

Brind'Amour deserves an 8.5 for that dive lol.

  • @cowboyzsuk81 Too bad, isn't it? LOL We blast the refs no matter what they call it seems, is there a point where they actually get the calls right? Or is a rite of spring to continue to bash the refs regardless? Why do fans think they can tell the refs how to call the games? Somebody answer me that one....

  • the refs might've missed a call on the leafs. But John Leclair blatantly elbowed Mike Johnson in the HEAD right in front of the referee. If a referee has any pride whatsoever in his job, he has to call that. I remember after the game, the Flyers president complaining about the penalty, and I'm like, he elbowed him in the head, how can you complain about that. Anyways, Berezin scooooooooooores. Sergei Berezin gives the leafs a 1-0 lead with a minute to go!

  • thats how it always works out for the flyers..screwed in the end. they get pushed around..no call. they go back to get revenge..they get called for it. fucking refs are so stupid

  • there were a couple missed calls for the flyers in that series...

  • Leafs slap the Flyers !!! nice

  • OV gets a perfect ten for his triple axl followed by faking an injury during the ECSF last season, shithead.
