And by the way, I also loved Lost Planet 1 and 2 a lot. But after doing a bit of research around, I found an insane amount of hate for that game. People calling it awful, lacking gameplay, saying the game was terrible, had no fun in it, and that the gameplay sucked. I don't quite understand since It played exactly like the first.

If you want my opinion, there are a lot of lousy gamers that are content with barkinghate right in the wake of game critics without asking questions.

Well, the sales for LP2 were disappointing to Capcom, not to say disastrous, and Keiji Inafune did blame the production team for lacking vision, passion and guidance. He then said that if ever they were to make another Lost Planet, he would insist on being the man in charge.

Alas, since then Inafune has left Capcom, which retains the franchise rights.

So it is very, very very unlikely there will ever be another Lost Planet game.
