Music: "Isabella" Mediaeval Babes
---------------------------------
Io Isabella danzando ne prati
I Isabella dancing

Verdi della primavera
on the spring meadows

Girando e girando, cascando e cascando
Turning and turning, falling and falling

Nel mondo delle elfi sognando
Into the world of the elves dreaming

Mi prendono la mano, mi portano lontano
They take my hand and they take me far away

Mi prendono la mano, mi portano lontano
They take my hand and they take me far away
-------------------------------------------

* I love this song!

  • Their italian is quite good, but they should have said "nel mondo degli elfi" not "delle elfi". BTW the pronunciation is nice :)

  • eu amo essa banda minha mãe ela ama muito essas musicas

  • This is a good song. I hadn't previously heard of this group. Certainly got kind of a techno new age sound going here. I like it. =)

  • @DafniElissa

    Yeah, I'm Italian too :P

  • @Splittersplatter yes you're right it's current Italian and it's a great pronunciation for them, unless that little mistake. I'm Italian :)

  • Mediaeval "Babes"??? O_o'

  • Davvero molto molto bella!

  • @Splittersplatter oh cool - I just know in some of their albums they sing in the older versions of different languages...but that's cool that they used modern Italian.

  • @hotwaiter

Nope, I've studied Old Italian (known as Volgare, Vulgar in english) and i can assure you that this is 100% current italian, not old one...

Still, there's the fact od Delle elfi: in Italian is "Degli" for males - "Delle" for females and Elfi is a male plural word.

(Elfo-> one male elf Elfa-> one female elf Elfi-> Many male or male+female elves Elfe-> Many female elves)

Like I said, except that one word, all is in current Italian and well pronounced!

  • I think just like Old English, they are using "Old Italian" of sorts. I think that's right - that's why some of the words are just slightly strange sounding to Italians.

  • great song!!!!
