11 News reporter Barry Simms said Brown sighed after hearing the judge's decision to deny her bail.

The judge asked prosecutors why she wasn't charged with attempted murder. Cox told 11 News that they believe assault was more appropriate.

Polis was treated and released at a local hospital. She and Thoms are expected to be at the Monday night rally.

I do not agree with what alot of people are saying about this should be shot

wtf would be the point if you shoot her then she gets out of going to prison for the rest of her life. so what would be worse being dead of being 18 and spending the rest of your miserable life in prison

i think sitting in prison knowing your never getting out because of your stupidity

@skaterboimikey Im not a supporter of the death penalty. I think if your not willing to do the deed yourself, than dont expect a corrupt judicial system to get even for you. so rotting in prison is doable. this was a simple battery, until the cameras came out and nobody tried to stop it, then it became a spectator sport, and the spectators are as guilty as the participants. thanks for watching.

I would have thrown the attackers in a jail cell,cuffs on and welded the door shut. Probaly would have locked an iron masque on them too.

@MOAONAABE Im sorry to say this is not even close to a simple battery this was much more. it was first a hate crime then a 2 against one, then aggravated assault  that was 2 people kicking the crap out of someone laying on the ground and as i said death is not a punishment next to spending 50 years in prison

and yes the people just standing there should have done something and yes they should be held accountable for there actions
