This is music in its most genuine form.
It just doesn't matter if it's technically spartan or rude, it's pure genius, no doubt about that! Who cares music theory when you have honesty and emotion like Daniel has?

I think Daniel explains and defends himself most powerfully in his song "Story Of An Artist." Being an artist — a true artist as opposed to someone who's merely famous or popular — isn't defined by slick production or perfection. It's about having an intense need to express something, and sometimes the most powerful statements are best expressed in the simplest words. His music is joy and sorrow and everything in between. THAT is why Daniel is respected and loved by so many people.

I completely disagree. Hand any retard a guitar and give him a couple of videos on MTV. He'll get media attention out of sympathy. He won't be revered like Daniel. Personally I love his body of work (which there is a large discography of, which shows a lot of hard work.) It strikes a chord with me and I think his music is fantastic. Less is more.

Daniel has an indomitable spirit that comes through in his music, even with limited guitar skills. Some people don't get it. That's fine. True creativity will not be bound by musical orthodoxy.
