Keep in mind this was 18 years ago. I am not that guy you see in this video.

Not really true... Still one of the most working professional comedy magicians in the world. And its in corporate world where they make huge money and not in tv or comedy clubs where normal people get to know the performers.

Tough Crowd lol
-
its the worst thing when you get an audience that are all dead to life but he kept going
-
good performance for a tough crowd!
-
this audience was not respectful to Michael at all, i can tell that was the reason for his partial bad attitude during this performance. its not Michael's fault at all.

Thanks Wontonga for clearing that up. and yes you are right I should have said the reverse, All I know is I have done my best. Nobody has given me anything. and I continue to try and get better everyday. Nobody is perfect all the time. You live and learn!

Not that there isn't anything wrong with doing kiddy parties. The kids are the best. Well The 4,5,6 and 7 years olds are a lot easier than the 8, 9 10 and 11 year olds.

I have personally spoken about this with Michael Ammar, Juan Tamariz, Danny Archer, Jamie Ian Swiss and a few othe top notch Magicians and everyone agrees, it's a blessing and a curse. Johny Palmers mother told her friends that he won the FISM geand Prix and they asked if he does kiddie parties?

The "17 years" is a comment on how before radio & TV, folks would pay entertainers to perform in their homes. Opera singers, quartets and magicians.
Magicians are the only entertainers still welcomed into today's homes. Nobody knows them. Except for Lance Burton, Blaine, Chris Angel, David Copperfield and Sigfried & Roy, Great Magicians are unknown. I'll give you a dollar for every person who will tell you that they know, of Johny Ace Palmer, John Tomson, Michael Ammar. etc,

Let me clarify my comment.
You are a great guy and entertainer I imagine that not only do you know great people I am sure that truly great people know AND appreciate you! I was just making a joke on the "trick" joke that you have in your routine. By the way, in the 3 volumed L&L DVD set, it would have been funnier had you said to Stan Allen, "I didn't know that anybody LOVED me" Doing the "reverse" technique.
When your hot your hot and when your not your not, but to be acknowledged by your peers is the most important of acknowledgements and Micheal Finney, continues to do this and more- welcome to my show @ joelsamuelpresents
