The police prevented workers from delivering notices to the three worst employers at the Inner Harbor, and would not even allow Rev. Brown, a faith ally of the United Workers, to carry the notices to M&S Grill, Cheesecake Factory and Phillips. Public dollars paid for the development of the Inner Harbor. Workers have a right to be treated with dignity and respect, and to have their voices heard. The city should be insisting that public dollars result in public benefits, not deploying its police forces to prevent workers and their allies from demanding better. It's our harbor, and we demand that our voices get heard, our rights get respected and our demands get met. On April 18, 2009 workers will return to the Inner Harbor to announce the worst employer and to lay out our specific demands.
@kcheer18 Especially anytime an insurance company sends a denial letter to someone in need that results in their death. The person that had the audacity to sign that letter and send it to your home should be in jail for murder in the pursuit of profits.

That's crazy. Who are the police working for? That doesn't even make sense. Were they gonna arrest the workers that are being mistreated and asking for fairness? That doesn't make sense. Aren't they for stopping abuses that are happening to people right in front of their face. I swear we should have a 911 call in day to report all these corporations.
