  • I'm surprised no one's commented on this one. This is the best rendition I've heard from Lemeshev at his best. He's one of my seven all time favorite tenors and one of my three favorite to sing this role. Probably the best Lensky anyway. I love how he just floats the high note at 1:33, no other tenor sings in the upper range quite like Lemeshev.

  • Dear friend, Sergey Lemishev is so loved and adored by russian audience that it need no comments. This vocal so called "silver voice" is not only property of Russia it's a fortune of the world.Just listen to it and get pleasure.Thank you.

  • @kingjonnyvii It is from the musical comedy "A Musical Story".

  • Quelle voix merveilleuse !!! Grand Lemeshev !

    Merci pour le post .

  • The great Lemeshev. If only there were just "one tenor" or "singer" on the operatic stage who could even sing one pure note, such as was threaded throughout Lemeshev's singing, but, Alas, such beauty is "lost" to the past.

  • Ach! I really like this track - exude joy.

  • @kingjonnyvii It's a movie in which Lemeshev portrays a singer who had just started his career.

  • Ses aigus me donnent des frissons, comme quand on croque dans une pomme acidulée, juteuse et sucrée à la fois:Un soleil qui désaltère!

  • Airoso?? Arioso!!

  • ...and how about the director showing olga how to look angelic? haha, so primitive!

as it says in the upper right corner of this page:

From film "A Musical Story", 1940.

  • can somebody enlighten me a little about this very unusual vidio? Is it from a film? It is slightly bizarre.... i mean the little interjections from the audience and especially the man who reminds lemeshev of his line.,...... I don't think Lemeshev was about to forget!
