so north and south decrease production time while 2x2 squares increase production rate.

Fuck, his voice is like notch voice that's amazing.

1 dislike against 138 is a bit silly...

You had me at hello, just kidding. I was already convinced from when I put your theory to the test after seeing the previous video. It was immediately noticeably faster! The tradeoff of land versus production per acre is worth it. I harvested and had food on hand and new crop growing in no time, very helpful in survival SMP which is how I play. The time lapse confirmed my observations. Great job!

So...practically, you're still better planting crops in full rather than leaving a space between rows of corps if you're not interested in them all being fully grown right?
-
Is the check for North and South, or is it North or South?
If it's and, why not run your rows east to west and have them two blocks by x length.
For example: X = wheat O = Farmland and the top being North?

@JDingDong8 I agree that statistic would have been useful. But also when you're talking about efficiency the number of seeds planted/number of seeds & wheat returned is also a factor. The row system clearly was better in that regard.
-
Again. Also, if you're expanding, don't forget tree farms. Sapling vs. wood production, etc.

@SimplyGebus actually, disregard that previous reply's reasoning, I decided after some thought that it was a bit flawed, and sounded a bit too much like a hater.
What about melons and pumpkins?
