Star Fox 64: Area 6, 510 hits

Back to the N64 for me, this time, some practice on Area 6. On a previous comment, I think on one of zallard's videos, I mentioned that I pulled a 520 on A6. This run is 10 hits short, but it's close. I notice I made SEVERAL key mistakes. One is not utuilizing my brakes. I missed several of those saucers because I didn't brake. I screwed up a couple of charge shots, and although it didn't hurt me too much, I used my ship as a kamikaze. It does more damage than lasers, and you still get the initial credit for the kill.

And up until now, I didn't realize the HIT+8 off the supply box was such a big deal. If for some reason you need to review how I did it, it's at 3:25.

If it's not bright enough for you, turn up your moniter's brightness if you can. I can't find a gamma setting in PJ64, or a brightness setting in Windows Movie Maker.

Well then, back to the drawing board though, I need to find a way to duplicate my recent 544 on the N64. EDIT: Of course, not too long after this video, my A6 best grows to a 553.

Could anyone provide tips on how I could possibly make this brighter. I'm pretty sure the darkness is from PJ64, and I can't adjust brightness through either my recording software or WMM.

If you figure out who I am from N64HS, DO NOT REVEAL IT HERE. I'm very strict when it comes to privacy, and with YouTube having something like a million users, you never know who knows you.

i remember getting a hit+ 50 on the area 6 boss but i forgot how nice run btw

i remember by score being 450 something at best long ago. i havn't played in years. wonder what it would be now. this is very impressive. lots of use of the bonus scores with charged shots, but it's a risky way to play crashing through everything

I remember when my high score here was 350-something. It's amazing to think that it is now 505, something that contends with this video.
