  • Sharon and Ozzy should take a good hard listen to this, and then start kicking themselves in the ass for letting him go.

  • one of the best guitar solos ever written, in my opinion

    thanks a lot!

  • This makes Jake the baddest ass ever. Even more than before.

  • @ZxE73 wow..heartbreaking! its a circus that has no nets, a carnival that travels at mach speed.. anyone who knows what its really all about will tell you.. the price of admission is heavy

  • @ddcraver

In every gig there are obstacles & most times drugs & drinking are at the center of them. I know that scenario all too well..having just fired 2 bandmates for the same thing after seeing how they are on the road. To put blame on any one person isn't fair. I do not know ozzy..jake on the other hand..well sadly..for years & still he's not been able to kick the "habits". I do agree though..Jake was every bit as technically sound as ANY guitarist from the 80's including Randy.

  • @ddcraver @ZxE73 ozzy was completely out of control at this point.. tommy lee relates a story during this time when he and ozzy were alone together in a room, and ozzy crapped on the floor and started spreading all over the walls.. imagine having the best gig you could ever hope to have.. and having to navigate through situations like that on a daily basis..

  • @ddcraver @ZxE73 for the record, i was present at the us festival the first time they played live together, and although there was initial concerns about how the gig would be received, it was clear almost immediately that jake was equally proficient technically.. though somewhat more soulful and bluesy stylistically..

  • @ZxE73 to the best of my knowledge this utterly untrue.. his departure came at the peak and due to ozzys alcoholism and drug addition.. further, he was invited back on at least one occasion, but declined..

  • a liked him better than Randy.....more dynamic, powerful, and better sound.....Randy might have been a better technical player...

  • jake e lee is the fn man.

  • @earlyblue

After learning & playing nearly every Ozzy song recorded up through the mid 90's.I will say Randy was an originator & incredibly gifted player..through years of practice & the only reason I ever began playing guitar..yet technically I agree with you Jake was the best of Ozzy's players. Zakk..did a fine job of taking both of their blueprints & adding his own over the top vibrato, chicken picken & pinch harmonics..but just changed order of the Riffs Randy & Jake already wrote.

  • @sixslinger

    exactly.
