Haven vs Illidari Council (World of Warcraft)

Haven's first kill of the eighth boss within the Black Temple instance. This fight feels like a combo between the Twin Emps in AQ40 (all bosses shared the same health) and the High King Maulgor encounter inside Gruul's Lair (keeping multiple mobs under control).

Illidan, here we come!


Notes:

-This is one of the longer fights in BT, clocked in at around 11 minutes from start to finish.

-In this fight I was a "floating" healer. That is, had no formal assignment and thus healed wherever heals were needed. This is why you'll be seeing me moving around a lot (besides avoiding the flamestrikes and blizzards, heh).

-We had a mage tanking the mage, a prot warrior tanking the priest, another prot warrior tanking the pally, and a prot pally tanking the rogue.

-The initial pull can be one of the tougher aspects of this fight. We've discovered that using a hunter's pet as a sacrificial lamb worked best for us.

-We focused most of our dps on the pally boss.

-We had 4 interrupters assigned to the priest boss - a shaman, mage, rogue, and the prot warrior that was tanking. As an emergency standby, the mage tanking the mage boss threw in his own counterspell whenever it was needed.

Yeah, I was pretty much raid healing during this fight. It was nice being able to stretch the legs and run around a bit, heh.

Do you use your mouse to click character's boxes in the grid mod?

It's difficult to make it out.

Or do you have targeting people in your raid keybinded also?

By the way, I have enjoyed your videos greatly and am now working on my priest's holy set. :)

I have relatively big hands, so I generally use my mouse to acquire and heal targets instead of keybind. It's much easier for me that way, heh.

raid healing is way funner than standing in one spot and healing the tank(s).
