Saddam Hussein Death: Martyr Hoax? Scaffolding Full View!

A frame-by-frame study of the first few scenes of the Saddam hanging video reveals a box-like object immediately under the trap door of Saddam's gallows. A guard with a scarf obstructs our view with his body. In all likelihood, Saddam was to fall close to that scaffolding.

Since this is the opening scene of the video, it may be more "formal" than it seems. It is possible that the masked guard was carefully situated there, to block our view of "temporary" scaffolding under the gallows, before the camera started recording.

Some viewers have asked, "what about the video of Saddam dead with a hole in his neck?"
Who was buried in Tikrit? We know Saddam had a double or look-alike. But what happened to him after he sank to the scaffolding will remain a mystery of this botched execution. We cannot rule out the possibility that a temporary scaffolding was part of a designed attempt to inflict retribution as Saddam fell, according to ancient blood feuds.

Was another Iraqi military intelligence camera on that scaffolding, recording footage the public must not see, in the absence of any reporters or UN observers, and in violation of an Iraqi law forbidding executions during religious holidays?

On Januay 15 Saddam Hussein's half brother, Barzan Ibrahim, was decapitated on the same gallows:

"A government video of the hanging, played at a briefing for reporters, showed Ibrahim's body passing the camera in a blur. The body came to rest on its chest while the severed head lay a few yards away, still wearing the black hood pulled on moments before by one of Ibrahim's five masked executioners." (AP)
