Recorded with Neo Geo Home Cartridge System with capture card
Stage 5. Because Rocky's about to run out of credits in total, he passes the torch to Maxima at around 3/4 to the end of the stage.

I recall many years ago on TV this stage was featured on a Nick Arcade Video Challenge, played by a guy named "Drit". He won too! He had the host on the edge seeing if he was gonna win or not.

  • @SLCL no. Most Neo-Geo games had 4 individual credits for each player. This even included fighting games whose boss characters were infamous for having SNK Boss Syndrome.

  • I love how if you don't go it WILL kill you lol. I'll remember that.

  • And even a well known game like sonic the hedgehog they still couldn't beat that they couldn't collect 35 rings in 30 seconds

  • Yeah, I saw this game on Nick Arcade as well, quite often. The contestants seemed to always choose the Neo Geo games, regardless of whether they knew the game well or not. They often didn't, but chances are they had never SEEN those particular games before.) They were either not well known, or too expensive -- the hard fact is that only affluent families had a Neo Geo system.

Even "Blue's Journey" was too much for some to grasp: one dolt scored ZERO points in the allotted time.

  • That brings a lot of good memories...

  • I remember this game. I used to play it all the time with my cuz back then. Were credits shared like other beat-em ups? Cause if so, then I can see why you brought in Maxima early then
