Maybe it did have the piano, I wasn't close enough to see inside. I was there in '07 so I don't remember. It was still interesting to see and I hope to go back again sometime.

Are you sure it didn't have a piano? They have a large Frati orchestrion there that plays from cardboard books, with piano, pipes, bells, and drums. The piano is kind of buried in the back so perhaps you didn't see it when they opened it up. Frati orchestrions are rare, I would guess that less than 10 exist.

The quality is amazing! I saw a different kind of orchestrion at the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, FL. They do demonstrations of antique mechanical musical instruments. The orchestrion there had some kind of book that it played from, it was like a roll, it did not have a piano that played on its own.
