  • She used to stay at Forest Mere Health Farm in Hampshire, I swam in the pool with her, she was really charming, and had a great figure even in her later years, still very beautiful

  • Aww, how wonderful :)

  • Ava, in your 60's you were prettier than todays trollops in their 20's, I will always love you no matter what.

  • Thanks so much for sharing! I hope some day to visit myself

  • There are alot of beautiful woman in Hollywood, then and now, but very few of them are "Extraordinary Beautiful" as Ava. The others that are also extraordinary beautiful are Rita Hayworth and Elizabeth Taylor. Just my opinion. Thanks saraismyname

  • @bluefourhotmom Yes blue, she hated MGM and couldn't wait to get out of her contract. In her autobio, Ava said that MGM only cared about people looking pretty for the camera and didn't put any of effort in teaching starlets how to act. She was very insecure about her acting ability, self conscious. She was really angry and embarrassed when the studio decided to dub her voice for Show Boat, I hear she had a very nice voice too. I also think she was a fine actress, very good in many of her roles.

  • Very nice compilation.

Love a lot of her movies. She's great in On The Beach, and the chemistry between her and Gregory Peck is very obvious. They were great friends until her death. The Peck's adopted her little dogs and brought her maid back to America with them after Ava died.

Another sad and lonely song. Was is it about Ava and sad songs?

  • This is a refreshing change from the glut of video stills tribute to Ava gardner. However, how come there are no snippets from her more recent films like 'the bluebird' or 'regina roma?'

  • Zeitgeist!...Jackson Browne at his best. Brings back so many memories-both 'good' and 'bad'..although, in retrospect there is little difference in the two.

  • I love Ava.Altough she wasn't very talented early in he career, she always had a huge screen presence and a striking beauty.Later on she did learn to act.

  • yeah
