Southerly pulse on Monday produced this Tuesday arvo (Tue 22 Jul 08 ) at Wedding Cake Island off Coogee beach, Sydney, Australia.
I measured 'faces' of waves at between 20' and 40'; looked like 10' to 15' waves. Swell was meant to be 5m-7m on charts.
They came out of water 30min after sunset due to paddle back from Island, approx. 800m from beach. Cam was 400m away and 15m above sea level.
Surfers are unknown; all present agree, they were hell men.

  • No one was dropping them simply because it was shit

  • @damon79 What is 'dropping them'?

    Do you mean 'dropping in'?

This place is not Pipe or Mavericks guys; it's dead flat 99.99% of time.

Why I posted this is due to the extraodinary occurance of the break.

Still, most dudes would never get into this break on the day as it was so big and the current super fast.
