A young peasant mother named Josie is owned and beaten by her master, Charles Johnson. He's fathered her five children: Mina, Johnson, Preston, Elisa and Milo. They live on a farm and are forced to work but long to break free. Mina tries to help her mother and mostly stays out of the way. Johnson's a bit more unruly, but is secretly afraid of becoming like his father--with whom he shares a close resemblence. Preston is the middle child, ignored by the rest of his family, and delicate Elisa depends on him to help her through the ordeal. Milo, the little toddler, can only observe his family's hardships sadly. Will they survive to overcome Charles and his tyranny?

@Shquiggly Yeah me too now that you mentioned it! The Lion King movies are still some of my all time favorites! The characters in my Saderia series books are tigers, lions, and other animals and I think The Lion King was one of my infuences. The first two books of the Saderia series, The Tiger Princess and Dash are available on Amazon if you are interested. I am learning animation software now to try to bring my characters more to life and make a movie.
