I am a wildlife rehabilitator. This is Raven, a young male squirrel and his first contact with real soil. He spent several hours delightedly burying acorns and nuts, digging them back up, and then burying them again. Shortly after this video was made he was separated from human contact so he could "wild up" for his release. He was successfully released and is currently a very wild and happy free squirrel. If he sees me now he runs away and scolds me from the top of his tree! Little ingrate. :) I wouldn't have it any other way, a wild released squirrel is a safe one!

  • r they ur pets?

  • No, this squirrel has been released back into the wild. They are orphaned squirrels that I raise and set free as a wildlife rehabilitator.

  • I love this video! Thanks for sending it. I thought I had seen all of yours,I guess not! The squirrel in my video had a servereleg disability when younger. I didn't think she could climb so I was going to keep her rather than euthanize. But she got better! I knew I couldn't keep her. She survived her first winter and is still seen once in a while. Soon as she was free she too would scold me and run....GREAT!

  • I added this one a week ago, maybe you saw mine before then. I tend to add new ones every couple weeks or so. I had fun looking at yours! Glad your release went well. :)

  • All your squirrels are absolutely fabulous. Thanks for sharing your videos!

  • I think so too, thanks! Glad you enjoyed watching them. :)
