Birds are the creatures of nature. They like to be free in the serene sky. The story Catharsis is mainly based on the self realization of a human being after having done an offence by breaking the law of nature.
One morning some parrots are flying together in the sky. They come into a forest and see some crops are spread for them. They start to have them but suddenly are trapped by some hunters. The parrots are brought to a market of a city. A gentle man named Amal Sen buys a parrot captivated inside a cage for his son Tukun at his birth day. Mr .Sen gifts the parrot to Tukun and Tukun becomes delighted to see it. But as he is innocent he gets an idea to disturb the parrot by torturing it with a stick. Tukun along with his friends starts playing with the parrot. But the bird feels irritated and tries to break the rod of the cage by its small beak. But it fails. The invited guests and friends of Tukun leave one by one. As usual Tukun and his parents go to bed for sleep.
At midnight Tukun comes to see the bird and he sees that the bird is injured somehow and while he touches the bird, he sees some drop of blood in his hand.
On another side his father (Mr.Sen) is sleeping, suddenly he sees that the ceiling fan is becoming a cage and coming slowly towards him to prison him into it. He tries to break that cell but find himself weaker as the bird. At that time, Tukun comes in front of him and calls him. Then he wakes up and realizes that he has dreamt of the horrible incident and regrets at his deed. Tukun shows his hand with the blood and tells about the wounds of the parrot. Tukun and his father immediately start to take care of the parrot. And the bird becomes cure till the morning. Mr.Sen realizes the emotion of the birds when they are caged .So he and Tukun decide to free the bird. On next morning they set the bird free to the open sky and purge their guilt by sharing the joyous moment with the parrot.

nice animation. I have a quaker parrot and he seems happy, never injured himself. He wasn't taken from the wild either though. Something doesn't sit right here. Cruelty is cruelty but I think that birds go with the flow, don't brood over things for long. When I find a baby bird that is lost, I keep it until it's able to fend for itself. I try to not handle it too much so it doesn't get tame. wild birds I kept didn't seem upset over their captivity, and when I let one go sometimes it'd come back.
