I'm just amazed at the headways they can achieve thanks to automated, driverless technology.

  • date? time?

Its so busy, the several times i was on the skytrain to waterfront station, it was never that busy.

  • Im sure they control it or monitor it at some HQ with CCTV and Softwares/GPS I wonder if they have signals at the HQ because ive seen alot of Skytrain Driver view videos and i did not see any signals?!

  • @Superiorpakfan Skytrain uses a "moving block" signal system which means instead of fixed blocks defined by physical signals, a buffer space follows the train as it travels along the track. This is how they are able to space the trains so close together and run them without drivers.

  • why doesn't stop the second train?

  • The second train is out of service and going back to the storage yard.

  • @clubpenguin777 That train was out of service and was headed for the storage past Edmonds.

  • Skytrain Attendants ruined the last shot of the 2 MkII trains that could've taken off at the exact same time

  • @kaizerzydeco and we care about that why?

  • Vancouverites are not good at cramming onto public transport. They could get twice as much people on this train if it were in Toronto!

  • 3:40 sounded like as if it's at the airport ^_^

  • @OranViri I believe it also uses a VCC for each line

  • this train is such a toy, and even when first built was not suitable for a medium sized city such as vancouver, just another case where backwards thinking reigns supreme. But at least they have a zone system, in Toronto you are screwed into buying a full price ticket even though you are only going a few stops. Why is canada so reluctant to get ahead of the game???

  • Why didn't that 2nd train stop?
