Any Christian who thins he or she is not in a war is either disillusioned or in slumber which is the same as to say disillusioned or have chosen to surrender and be broken or even become an apostate.
Be on guard! and be not afraid! Heaven is watching!

@joeburton757 i think zeal actually ties in with King David in Psalm 69, "zeal for your house consumes me", i.e. "you have placed your cloak upon me, Yahushua."

@joeburton757 but i guess vengeance is His and His alone...i dont know why zeal would belong solely to the Lord though...perhaps thats cloaked in mystery.

@joeburton757 he is our righteousness, salvation, peace, truth, faith and word right now as well, but Paul included those.

Paul is actually elaborating on Isaiah 59:17, where Isaiah says that the Lord put on a breastplate of righteousness and a helmet of salvation. Paul left out 2 articles of clothing that Isaiah included, GARMENTS OF VENGEANCE AND A CLOAK OF ZEAL. (see Isaiah 59:17)

@allrza He is our vengeance now... he is our zeal. We are no longer under the Old Testament - Paul didn't leave it out, things have changed under grace...
