"Over the Rainbow" é uma das canções mais famosas do final da década de 1930. A música foi composta por Harold Arlen e a letra é de E.Y. Harburg. Por vezes ela é citada com o título "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".

Muitos dizem que esta canção personifica as esperanças e sonhos sobre um mundo ideal de amor e alegria. Foi especialmente escrita para mostrar os talentos de Judy Garland no filme O Mágico de Oz, de 1939. Posteriormente a canção acompanharia a atriz durante sua vida; em todas suas aparições públicas ela era solicitada a cantá-la.

Sua melodia melancólica e letra simples representam o desejo de escapar da desesperança do mundo, desde a tristeza da chuva até o brilho de um novo mundo "além do arco-íris" ("over the rainbow"). Expressa a crença infantil de que o "céu" magicamente abrirá uma porta de um lugar "onde os problemas se derretam como gomas de limão" ("where troubles melt like lemondrops"
