  • 425 horsepower...(cough cough) ;-)

  • I thought maybe you were some Dodge or Chevy guy disputing the 425hp. Thanks for clearing that up.

  • Nice 63, what size wheels and tires do you run

  • 225/70/15 are a nice size on 15X7 ot 15X8 rims.

  • Thank you for the vid! Very nice Galaxie. Sounds healthy. Is that the stock cam? I also have an R-code '63 with the XL option package. Awaiting restoration.....

  • Engine was rebuilt to stock specs....427 Fords were very healthy.

  • back when cars where cars

  • If you have driven a bench seat full sized 63 Ford you would know there is plenty of room, the driver or middle person can do the shifting. Done it many times. Thanks for the comment.

  • BTW... I'm almost to the point of being able to start, and run, my 427 on the stand. I'm lacking headers at this point but I did turn her over for just a second without 'em. My ears were ringing for a day and a half. Ouch!

  • reminds me of a Friends in Osceola, same except theirs had the 406 4spd. ( I believe) brand new back then.

  • Wow, what a nice ride... Sure brings back memories, had a 63 1/2 w/390 and auto as my first nice car I ever owned. Of all the cars, trucks, and motorcycles I have owned in my life, that is the one I would pick if I could have it back...

  • @mrweide That's why I did the cough cough... 425HP riiight. A bit more than that. Insurance companies would have had rates sky high if the factory actually said what the engines really made and no one would buy the cars.

  • Are you distputing this engine has 425 horsepower? That was the factory rating, and most people believe it was under-rated.

  • Merry Christmas to you, not sure why you have to be so negative. It's America....I can choose whatever mufflers I want.

  • glasspacks are for kids...
