Oldschool Superman Cartoon

An ancient superman cartoon pulled from the archives. As a matter of fact I think this may be the first superman cartoon.

He's faster than a bullet more powerful than a speeding train and he can snatch your dame without having to shoot anything. Yeaaaaaah!

It's mainly about this scientist with a crow on his shoulders trying to make his invention destroy something, and superman shows up and beats his ass.
Before that he kidnapped this broad, and blew a bridge up.

This pilot was done for $50,000, a princely sum for 1940. The anthropomorphic vulture is a bit of cartoon silliness conspicuously absent for the other films, a number of which dealt with more serious threats like Nazis, Japanese sabateurs, gangsters, natural disasters, and occasionally supernatural menaces like giant monsters, undead mummies, and aliens.
