Here is the ending music. Excuse the poor images...
Someone could correct my lyrics?

There is a lonely train called the 3:10 to Yuma.
The pounding of the wheels is more like a mournful sigh,
Theres a legend and theres a rumour, when you take the 3:10 to Yuma,
You can see the ghosts of outlaws riding by,
(Riding by
In the sky)
Way up high the buzzards keep circlin the train,
While below the cattle are thirsting for rain,
Its all so true they say, on the 3:10 to Yuma.
A man may meet his fate for fate travels every way.
Though youve got no reason to go there,
And there aint a soul that you know there,
When the 3:10 to Yuma whistles its sad refrain.
Take that train.

Ending

So when you take the train called the 3:10 to Yuma,
And leave the things you love you leave with a silent prayer.
(a silent prayer)
Though youve got no reason to go there,
And there aint a soul that you know there,
When the 3:10 to Yuma whistles its sad refrain
Take that train.

  • IMHO, "Its all so true" --> "It's also true"; "for fate travels every way" --> "for fate travels everywhere". All other looks absolutely correct.

  • @handarey Me too think so; they were fragments that a friend of mine transcribed, and being he a canadian and me an italian, I didn't dare to correct him. Thanks for the correction, I always hope in this kind of comments.

  • I like these lyrics but on the Rawhide CD the lyrics are different. Can anyone tell me why?

  • @JudyHavel I have checked, on the movie the girl sings "I want to ride again, on the 3.10 to Yuma/ That's where I met my love/ The man that I can't forget" then whispers the melody.

  • Wonderful soundtrack for perhaps the best western ever made.

  • @OrodesIII Surely one of the very best!

  • @OrodesIII George also did the memorable score for the Star Trek Episode 'Metamorphosis.

  • @JudyHavel I don't know which cd you have, but if it is sung by Laine himself and they are more or less "I want to ride again (...) but before she left, her eyes said a sad goodbye" etc they are the released version of this song, probably for the public, who prefers romantic matters more than spiritual. During the movie, a woman's voice is heard singing this song, and it seems to me the words are just the same of the popular released version (I have to check).
