Have you ever heard of this Shavendra Silva before this year (i.e. 2009)?? Nobody has even heard of this guy. This guy was propped up by the media which in tern was ordered by Gota. Gota propped up this guy simply because he was Gotas YES man who did not mind even washing his backside after going to the toilet.

What about other like Prasanna Silva, Chagi Gallage and Kamal Gunaratne?? How many people know these officers? Very few. These are the real heroes who did their job well.

This guy is not a hero contrary to what most think. He is a cold blooded killer who killed combatants who surrendered in cold blood just to satisfy his boss the SecDef Gota. This has been confirmed by non other than the Army commander at that time.

This is a shameful act and we have been tarnished internationally. Now we are branded as violators of human-rights. The SLA will do anything violating all known norms of war and conflict including the Geneva Convention.
