@KwlGal2 You can change that by going into settings and take off "Story Mode". If you do that, then your other families stay still while the one you're playing moves on. I had the same problem with all of my families, it was really annoying.

@RasberryIce23 Personally I prefer Sims 3 because in Sims 3 it's hard to spend so long in one family, otherwise other families die out and stuff, plus most of the time I don't get to name the children, so thats kinda annoying too.
I also prefer Sims 2 because of all the custom content, my Sim looks far better than the Sims 3 sims.

Sims 2 sucks. One lot, One family, bored fast.
It was an o.k game until sims 3 made it look like a babysitting for sims who want so many things while their motives drop. So in sims 2 it's kinda hard to have a happy alive sim.
